About this course

Our Fire Awareness course provides health care providers with the essential knowledge and skills to ensure fire safety in their workplace. The course is designed for individuals working in health care, with a focus on those who provide direct care to patients or residents.

The course covers:

• Overview of fire safety regulations and legislation
• Understanding of fire safety systems and equipment
• How to prevent fires and maintain fire safety in the workplace
• What to do in case of a fire, including evacuation procedures
• How to respond to a fire emergency, including using fire extinguishers
• Fire risk assessment including Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP)
• Reporting requirements
